I could see that argument. My wife has a Volkswagen Golf TDI w/ the DSG and that’s a pretty good transmission, but it definitely does “manual transmission” things from starts and stops. I don’t mind it at all, but I also drive stick, so there’s that. I like it as much as the ZF8 Speed non-DCT in my Audi A7.

So, America is too dumb for even automated manual transmissions.

I just bought a ‘16 A7 and I’m 26. I also own a C7 Corvette. I’m currently experiencing my midlife crisis apparently. It’s okay. No one cares. I love driving both of them. Do it.

Yeah, I agree entirely. The A6 is a hell of the car being that it’s basically the same car. I use my A7 for business and thus it is a business expense which was the only way I could justify the extra cheddar.

My business partner bought one of these to tell people he drives a Maserati.

Yeah. I am unsure. That said, I do prefer the G550 with the V8 before they switched to the turbo’d 6. I just trust it more because truck.

I am actually deciding whether I want to grab a G550 or a G63 AMG wagon for my wife’s birthday present in a few months. She’s leaning to the G550 and my opinion probably doesn’t matter. I didn’t go G63 initially because I didn’t want to look too flashy as it was a business expense and went w/ an Audi A7 instead.

Much want. I would’ve probably bought one of these actually or would probably buy one of these if they offered AWD. I know, AWD doesn’t matter, tires matter, etc, but I’ve driven through multiple Buffalo, NY winters on RWD cars w/ properly equipped snow tires and there are times where it still sucks infinitely. I also

They don’t need to know what it is to hate it.

When people who give literally no fucks about a car know that their CVT sucks, they need to strongly consider looking into minimally a better torque converter transmission or a DCT. The ZF 8 speed is actually a damn good slushbox - especially when compared to godawful CVTs.

Less concerned about value and more concerned about the actual physical safety of the user. Early 930 turbo? I’d be weary due to death. 458 Italia? Meh, who cares, there are enough computers to prevent the user from suiciding.

I only have a glorious fake wagon “4 door coupe” for the winter car :(. ‘16 Audi A7. Wife wants an e63 AMG wags though and I probably should comply by adding money.

Yeah, or that. It sounds like you need some cars to look at to improve your mood.

Sometimes, I open my garage to look at my cars when I have no intention to use them. It reminds me that America is awesome and that if you work a fuckton you can own basically whatever you want.

You’re right.

I grew up very poor (family of 7, raised by grandparents due to 16 year old mom, $30k annual single earner income for 7 people), lost a house to foreclosure, had crappy food, had crappy cars, dropped out of college because student aid got cut off, lived with roommates and barely made ends meet, etc.

This is hilariously accurate. The video footage is eerily similar to watching most people just learning how to drive a manual in real life. Lots of riding the clutch on the release, missing shifts between 2 & 4 or 1 & 3, lots of stalling. Probably marginally more wall smashing in the video game. I’ve taught several

I will. If it makes you any happier to feel like I’m “young, hip” and into “ze Germans”, I also have a 2016 Audi A7.

I’m 26 and own a 2014 Corvette. I don’t find too many people who consider it gross of any age. If you were arguing a C3-C6 era Corvette, I could find some time to agree.
