I'm also curious about this, and really bummed. His art is so expressive and reminiscent of animation.

I'm so, so glad this is the big issue for the week. Swamped today, so I'll be back later, but I just wanted to register my excitement over this pick.
Ditto on Black Widow. There's a lot of fertile spy/thriller ground for a Black Widow movie, but I just don't see Marvel doing it, unfortunately. Waid and Samnee are such a winning combo though.
I am almost positive the Batman cliffhanger is purposefully nutty to make people ask exactly that question. I strongly doubt King is going to go that way with the character.
Yup. Best thing Marvel's been putting out since Secret Wars.
In retrospect, the first arc feels like a prelude for everything else. It set up Gotham Girl, the idea of Batman pondering his mortality, Psycho Pirate, Strange, Baneā¦ a lot of balls in the air that didn't really come together but seem to be setup for a long game.
I think the rise of social media has also contributed to that "creators over characters" mentality. There's a broader awareness of certain creative teams and partnerships that contributes to that angle.
Black Widow definitely falls under what Alexander Knox said above for me, though. I'm reading it because of Waid & Samnee. Now that Astonishing Ant-man is done, and Vision is ending next week, that will be the last Marvel comic I'm reading.
Then he goes and drops a line about the "War of Jokes and Riddles" and I'm really frustrated this thing does not exist for me to read!
Flash needs to de-angst, refocus on the fun that made the first season so charming.
I haven't had time to read my whole stack this week, but I really enjoyed both Batman #9 and Nightwing #7 now that the Monster Men crossover is finished. Batman in particular felt like the most Tom King issue yet, and I love Mike Janin's art so much.
Also call him Dick Wells. I'm glad this is a thing.
"A jiffy is a unit of measurement." - Superman, delightfully corny.
Loved it. This series is incredibly silly, and it's just leaned into that.
Plenty of DC I've touched on below. I also liked having Greg Capullo's art back in Reborn, especially in that chandelier-like splash page.
As well he should.
Bilquis Evely's art on this interlude issue reassured me that the art team will remain solid on this series after Nicola Scott's arc is done.
The Super-line is a lot of fun right now, and each of these books feel very distinctive. Supergirl feels very fresh, and Orlando has a nice characterization of Kara that reads much like a younger version of Melissa Benoist's character on the TV show.
Tyler Hoechlin is my Superman.
Having your own place is wonderful. I just moved last weekend into my own place for the first time in years, and it's spectacular. Bit expensive to start, but so worth it.
