Sadly no, but I will say that my office has done at least one lecture with Representative Lewis about this series, and it is always worth attending. I'm very pleased to say that we keep his books prominently placed in our (historical office) library. It's nice as a comic fan to see them alongside thick academic texts.

Incredibly mixed week.

They also justify it with a slightly heavier page stock, which feels nice, but maybe not $2 more nice. But hey, I'm not a publisher.

Plenty of DC Rebirth, and I was able to catch up on The Vision at last. Tom King, Gabriel Walta, and Jordie Bellaire are just doing career high work on that book. I could just feel the claustrophobic, tragic atmosphere in that house for all of issue 10, which made that two-page spread near the end hit only that much

Agreed, but it certainly had the potential to be poor. Instead, it's a pleasant refocusing on Superman's generous and kind-hearted nature.

"Okay enough" sounds about right for Justice League right now. And I'm right there with you on Harley Quinn. It's dumb wacky fun in its own world.

Yeah. Yeah…

Green Arrow and Nightwing continue to be great. I always liked Seeley on Grayson, even though he was often overshadowed by Tom King. I think Seeley has a great grasp of Nightwing's voice, and he's done a great job of steering the character back into his superhero role without tossing out the great work in Grayson.

Woof. This will look bigger right now than I expect it will in a month or so once I've winnowed down what I want from Rebirth. Ok, here we go:

Wow, this went up early! This week was a lot of Rebirth, plus Archie, Black Panther, and Harley Quinn — all of which were pretty solid.

Huck fooled us all by applying gorgeous Rafael Albuquerque art to an ultimately pedestrian story.

Daniel's art sells very well to the average reader. I don't think it's the preferred style of most AVClub readers, but his art has definitely been a proven draw for DC in sales. It's almost quintessential DC House Style.

Ant-Man is still in my pile to read this week. Spencer tends to flourish with this more tongue-in-cheek type book (see Superior Foes), and I still think his Ant-Man is a good read.

I approve the Black Magick pick-up. The only downside to Rucka and Scott being on Wonder Woman in my mind is that it puts Black Magick on hiatus.

I think Wonder Woman may have the best handle on the double shipping by basically treating it as two separate Wonder Woman books.

Yeah. They flowed together as well as four art teams can, but yeah. Not great.

A Mignola Wolf and Crow would almost certainly be excellent.

Best of this week for me were Black Widow #5 and Green Arrow #3. Mark Waid really seems to be taking the position of "Let Samnee Be Samnee" in Black Widow, and I think the book may be some of his best work. This particular issue was a nice turning point in the series, and I finally feel like I have a better handle on

Well the book is also running twice monthly. The artist switches are to keep things on schedule and were announced way back at the first Rebirth press event. Makes sense to me. And Schmidt will be back on it come October, which is great, because he's a real find.

Huh, good to know! I'm not really a big Teen Titans person, but I am big game balance person. So I'll add that to the list.
