I'm waiting on a frustratingly delayed order from Instocktrades, but I love Morrison, so I'm very curious to read and see this for myself. I think Sava has a pretty balanced take in this article that seems to capture the context Morrison was bringing to this book.

No, that never happened. Neeeever happened. Nope.

Age of Ultron. So bad. So, so bad.

So good. So very good.

I think this may have been the most issues I've ever picked up in a single week. I'll start with the brand new stuff.

"Myrtle Beach IS a trainwreck. Spring break 2003, ugh." Aw, it was…

Well that was silly.

GHOST TOMMY. THIS EPISODE NEEDED 100% MORE GHOST TOMMY.

This show has been wonderful, and I'm sorry it's over now.

Is Dixon's Birds of Prey good? I know Simone took over that title in the #50s, but I don't know much about the Dixon stuff outside of his crossover issues in the Bruce Wayne Murder/Fugitive trades.

It's fine, which is really damning it with faint praise. Honestly, the delays and the extremely decompressed story have drained any enthusiasm I have for the title, and I'm just riding out this arc with Hitch's art.

Frankly, his art's been slipping just about as much as the title itself has been delayed over and over.

The Neal Adams Batman Omnibus is a pretty gorgeous book. Leaps and bounds better than just a couple years ago.

I'm hoping that means they're putting some effort into the trade by way of deluxe-style extras with King, Bagenda, and Fajardo.

DC's doing a fantastic job with reprints all of a sudden with loads of recent solicits added as well.. The binding on their omnibus prints has also improved dramatically in just the last few years. Great job overall on these new collections.

Bryan Hitch's JLA worries me a bit for Bryan Hitch's Justice League.

Porter's doing that Scooby book we all asked for.

I really liked a lot of the announcements. And the $2.99 price point means I'll give some a try I wouldn't otherwise, like the Superman books and maybe Green Arrow.

This last one tells me more than anything else that Scott Lobdell is holding the relatives of the editors hostage.

Doesn't sound like a reboot, but I've also heard no mention of Kyle yet. Bagenda's art did look a bit rushed this month, but I can't tell how much of that was the guest colorist. Glad Fajardo will be back next month to give it that familiar brushed look.
