I was worried when i bought my 03 pilot 2 years ago. I knew of the issue, but it is such a nice SUV... Bought it anyways... 50k miles later, still no issues, knock on wood. 196k on it now... :)

This is like saying they have the “most hottest stripper ever”. Sure, it’s nice to look at it and you can use it a little, but not the way you “really, really” want to.. ;) I have a Monster 696, and it’s plenty powerful for me.
Track-day Miata!!! Gotta get the tires to the track someh0w. :) Tows a tire trailer at 80mph fantastically returning 28mpg.. :)
Thats why they make different bikes! Haha. Ive had an sv650, a vstrom 650 and now the monster. All great bikes.
Have you sat on one? I was amazed at how relaxed the monster is. Surprisingly upright and comfortable for my highway commute.
Diavel? haha.
That it is. Just saying that their are plenty of non crotch-rocket/big bruiser/chopper bikes out there other than Hardleys.
That’s fine. I’m on mine 130 miles every day. I commute on it. Works well for me.
They make plenty of bikes to fill that niche. I have a Monster 696 for this.
I “wimped out” and bought a harborfreight tire changer along with a Mojo lever. When i did my first set of tires on my Vstrom, a shop wanted to charge over $150 to do them because i bought them somewhere else. I have now done 8 sets of wheels and tires for my “investment” of about $250. I have also loaned it to a few…
Howdy Dave. I remember SCC. I still have some old issues stashed under my bed. I felt left out so I figured I’d post this message. I used to own a 94 Miata, but sold it and now have Saabs and a Ducati.. Have a good day!
Also, that being said, just swap the tires... Not that hard. I do my own.. It’s not like you HAVE to run the stock tires for the rest of the bikes’ life..
Then post those pictures instead... Bike is probably too big for most of that anyways, and it’s not a real “dirt bike”.. It’s an ADV bike, made to go most places well, not all places. Much like SUV’s aren’t Baja 1000 trucks...
The tires that are on it will do just fine on the terrain that’s in your picture... You most certainly don’t need knobbies to ride on that dirt. If anything, upgrade to Anakee 3’s. Had them on my Vstrom 650 and bike was fantastic in dirt, gravel, rain, pavement, corners.. everything, really... And the tires lasted 18k…
Any lot that has a Tempo on the lot is shady...
Like a rear view mirror. :)
I don’t operate that way. Just looks like you do. I haven’t a problem for Porsche prices at all. I’ll never be able to afford one, but I don’t care much either that I can’t and instead enjoy seeing those that can.
Sounds like someone is Jelly-yo...
Yep.
More. Pretty sure they own them as well. :)
