There was no controversy but it was technically “too shocking.”  People didnt like it so it wasnt the official ending.  IMHO tho, the alt ending is MUCH better than the original official ending.  Like way way way better.

Passengers, even if not Amazing, is a pretty decent movie overall. It would have been 100x better if the story had been told from the perspective of Lawrence’s character first, but still.

I don’t know how Adam Devine would do at the whole “pro-level magic user” and “pro-level technology guy” aspect of Doom, but the selfish, spoiled brat part? He could play that perfectly.
