It helps that the movie is so damn…sincere. There's not a shred of mean cynicism to it and I like that about it.

Here's what oddly annoys me about these movies; she was very, very good with Miles Teller in a relationship in Spectacular Now. They had that as an example and somehow thought casting both of them for Divergent but *not* making them a couple and instead putting her with a block of wood was a smart idea?
Lordy. I watched the second movie over the weekend (Insurgence, maybe?) and I felt sorry for the actors trying to struggle with such dull material. Thank god for Miles Teller, wearing a great "can you believe this shit?" smirk through most of the movie.
