The myth of State's Rights = dog-whistling for, "why can't I be left to be a bigot in peace?"

A very, very slight maybe.
Jesus. Just let me know that Barbara is dead and it's safe to watch the show again.
Good lord, this may be one of the more history-nerd comedies I've ever seen; cocaine wine, Rhode Island being a social center, Helen Keller…combine that with some damn good writing and actors and I'm in.
As yes, the great Dutch ninjas.
Needs more of those "we don't understand V For Vendetta AT ALL" masks.
And when you're 11, that bloc is the shit.
The second I ever taped, right after Cave Dwellers! I'm actually just old enough that I watched it when it was a series (just titled The Master) back in 1984.
He's even happy when his sandwich gets thrown!
Ah yes, the great Dutch ninja.
No, 5 was enough.
It is completely bizarre to me as well. I think part of it, frankly, is how willing someone is to own up to it. Pettite, for all that he cheated and should be dinged for it, at least acknowledged it, and for a lot of people (I don't give a shit) that's important.
Yes, he has. And was still employed by the Red Sox since that positive test. So, tainted.
David Ortiz was on both teams. Tainted.
Yep. But the subject at hand was the Red Sox.
Just a general level of smugness, which is hilarious with how many of their World Series were won with cheating players.
I honestly can't remember who the lead was without looking it up, just that he was overshadowed in every scene by the Veronica Mars guy.
That World Series crack is pretty damn great.
When he's, for the most part in season 2, trying to be a better person and not let those attitudes impinge on this work?
I'm almost to the end of season 2 and maybe things change in season 3, but I enjoy how he's not especially a bad guy. He has anger issues, but he's willing to work on it and I do think he cares just a bit about his job. Does he also make terrible decisions at times? Absolutely.
