I met him once when he was campaigning in 1992. The man shakes your hand and you are in this…laser beam of his concentration. Like you said, these few moments you feel like Bill feel's you're the most important person in his world. It's almost a bit scary.

Huh. I didn't even know there was a sequel to Holes.

If nothing else, this feature introduced me to that fantastic Private Eye intro.

Hank Williams could really hit an emotion, couldn't he?

But he was an asshole even before they got to Colorado. He broke his kid's arm!

And what's really weird is that everyone, including Paul, talks about how his father Ernie was a great guy.

Naw, Furiosa was stolen along with her mother. She's not Joe's kid.

Not gonna lie…I've seen that Prince of Bel Air clip a lot of times and I still tear up.

Though they did clear up something that I apparently got wrong. I assumed Jupiter's father was an alien but apparently her DNA is just an exact duplicate of a dead alien or some such stupid nonsense and jesus, this movie.

Also, upsetting.

And it's also a movie. hey-o!

It was driving me nuts that I couldn't remember who plays her new stepmother until I looked it u and found it was Nancy Travis.

That whole plot with the new, exceedingly white family is kind of heart-breaking.

Well, that's 5 or so people out of the millions of people worldwide who own Macs. Yep, no point in trying to make more money, EA!

"Mac users haven't bought our crappy software like SimCity! They'll never buy the good games!"

So EA continues to think that Mac users don't want to give them money. Lovely.

Jesus, filming five of these things in a day? I'm legitimately impressed by and horrified for the crew.

How about this?

It's a good adaptation, I think. Also fun to look for Riley from Buffy in it (yes, playing American).

I've loved that memoir since it came out, and was really happy to see just how good Fun Home actually looks. Sydney Lucas, you just killed that performance.
