That’s what I was wondering, thanks. It does seem that this law has been set up to encourage abuse of the legal system, and I hope at least some of that abuse is directed at the supporters of the bill.

Some of them are probably helping people in their lives to obtain abortions, but even if they don’t, they can be sued and forced to defend themselves in court. Even if the suit is almost certain to lose, it costs time and money to defend against.

My understanding is that this decision is actually costing them money too, since the money they were getting more than covered the cost of the food. That is, they’re losing money just to stick it to poor families.
