Most summaries I’ve seen have gotten this right. It’s not “the debate”, it’s Trump, with some responsibility for Chris Wallace for failing to actually moderate. But that may be more about the sites I read.

Seriously, in the most divisive and destructive presidency in the history of America, there are still people who need to hear Trump’s healthcare policy or his thoughts on race relations in this country before they can decide who to vote for?

I really want Biden to open by offering Trump a five-dollar bill to help him get back on his feet/pay his taxes since it turns out he’s been losing a ton of money. Or offer him a wig so he doesn’t have to keep spending so much on hair care.

Being disliked by Donald Trump would have to be any decent person’s goal, right? If I were Harry I would be wondering what I had done wrong to get Trump to wish me well (honestly probably not his fault. He’s a famous white man, and I think that’s generally enough for Trump).

Yep. Just another way to funnel tax money away from blue states while pretending this is not just economic redistribution. I’m totally in favor of transferring money to poorer parts of the country, but this isn’t the way to do it.

If they’re going to defund places with high rates of gun violence, NYC and Portland are dumb places to start. New Orleans, Memphis, and Birmingham would be more logical.

I want to reserve words like “accountability” for things like taking ownership of racist things you’ve said, or working to fight climate change, or helping your kids with their reading. I don’t think it should have a place in discussions about trying to lose weight.
