Donald Trump is trying to make this a campaign issue again, but I think he’s going to find that the country has moved past that. Lots more people understand the importance of protesting white supremacy and police violence, and those that don’t would still rather go back to kneeling as protest, rather than huge crowds

Calling the cops on someone for something she didn’t do is not “racially insensitive comments”. At a glance, it doesn’t seem like she knows what she did wrong.

Now he’s going to give another one—this time to federal prosecutors in New York. Best of luck!

If the group has 38,000 members, it doesn’t seem like a huge deal to try to have a couple dozens mod, tbh.

That was my thought. He’s got to balance his desire to criticize Trump’s authoritarian power play (and I’m sure most Canadians are similarly appalled) with the fact that Trump could very well respond to criticism in ways that are incredibly harmful to Canada. I think he did a reasonable job, with the long pause

Okay, I learned something new this morning.

Shit in her wig? ... what a weird threat to make.

The police are out of control, and their escalation is just making things worse. This is not what “protect and serve” should look like.

one of the few visible reminders on Monday that the administration was in the middle of battlingignoring a public health crisis.

I know this isn’t the point of this article, but I would definitely eat hot-wing flavored oreos.

It’s like he’s staying on only because he knows Twitter will ban him the second he’s no longer POTUS.

It seems like they feel like if they’re effusive enough in their praise, it will hide the fact that he’s a complete disaster. And it might, for people whose only interface with the world is from people like Dobbs.

I would really like for the royal family to see “this guy might be a rapist” as more important than “this guy is embarrassing”.

He’s effectively resigned as president. He still occupies the White House and appoints far-right justices, but he’s no longer even pretending to lead the country, and he hasn’t for the past couple of months.

in an effort to secure Republican victories at the 2018 midterms he warned that the “violent people” of “ANTIFA” would “overturn everything…quickly and violently” if the Democrats won Congress

He was depressed about Black Widow, which put a real strain on his marriage, then when his wife left him it was the last straw.

Wow, shooting arrows at people because you don’t like being inconvenienced is a hell of a way to enact “All lives matter”. I’m kind doubting his commitment to that idea, right now.

Seriously. When you see a guy macing a whole crowd to stop a fight, you should stop employing him.

What a cavalier way to approach this, completely disregarding the standards of their profession. It seems clear that this young man’s killing didn’t matter at all to them. Now contrast this to how zealous one of these same prosecutors was in harassing a (Black) poll worker for helping someone operate a voting machine.

Is that a Tesla truck in the background?
