she’s legitimately more of a cat than she is a girl, both in personality and design.

I watched the first episode on a whim and then binged it in like 3 days. It’s hilariously good!
This anime is a joy to watch! I was pleasantly surprise to see it show up on NetFlix as the manga only reference the anime towards the end of it’s run. To see it land at NetFlix has given the manga/anime a huge boost in interest. I can’t wait to enjoy season 2!
The really wonderfully weird thing about the show is how much time and effort go into the “cooking monsters” bits. The review really doesn’t cover it that much, but the show is pretty much 2/3 DnD tropes, while 1/3 is something that you would imagine being on a fantasy version of the Cooking Network, with discussions…
One could argue that another documentary series about cults and cult leaders is especially timely and needed in today’s climate.
I wonder how big Frieren would be if it were on Netflix and not on a service that only anime fans use. I feel like it would be way bigger than the (admittedly pretty good) Delicious Dungeon.
Its really really good, so glad its getting a second season
I look forward to seeing Kinds of Kindness.
I’m sure he would prefer not to be remembered as Taylor Swift’s most generic boyfriend, just like William Howard Taft would have preferred not to be remembered for the White House bathtub thing. But such is life
I enjoy Hacks.
I don’t wish ill of people often, but I hope he spends his afterlife reliving the last moments of each child for all of eternity.
I’ve gotten wise to scammers on grindr. A few useful tips to avoid this:
I’d love it if Junji Ito was the mentor character. Just this demure, unassuming guy spouting the most fucked-up things you can imagine.
It’s not without precedent, though, as in addition to Mysteries Incorporated as mentioned in the article, The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo and 16 of the 42 TV and direct-to-video movies have had actual supernatural elements.
for some iterations yes. for others like 13 ghosts and the best movie (zombie island) it is not.
Looking at the pic before reading the article, I’m thinking, ‘So Velma is a dog now?’
Poor Velma. She never gets any respect.
“While you and I know those people are provably wrong”
They aren’t though. Scooby-Doo disproving the supernatural was a major part of the show. Dispelling superstition for kids is a terrible thing to lose for the concept.
Sounds like it was inspired by 13 Ghosts. So who is the Japanese equivalent of Vincent Price?
