I re-checked that scene again: inside the globe appeared to be a green glass figurine - a woman I believe - on a clam shell. Obviously you can interpret the figurine as Astra, but perhaps you can better decipher how it symbolizes her.

Damn, this episode was a heavy-hitter. It is unfortunate that most of the cast gets sidelined to a decently funny and dramatic B-plot and John goes out in an inadequate, though shocking demise. If he were to be resurrected, he might become a fungal host.

She looked like a fork to me. Glad to know what household item Astra would have turned into with Crowleytine’s spell, a snow globe apparently.

I adore Gen 5 for bucking the third game trend and going with direct sequels instead. It was fun revisiting a familiar region that underwent many changes as a few years passed by, which includes significant trainers, cities, locations, and returning Pokemon.

“Well nobody’s perfect.” - Some Like It Hot. This screwball comedy ends on an unpredictable high note.

Perhaps the studio heads were worried about causing confusion by having her resemble another well-known comic book redhead with blue skin:

Yeah my teenage self would agree with you since I’ve tried and dropped anime shows. Except they were all sci-fi fantastical action series so they just aren’t the genres that interested me.

I’m pretty burned out on Star Wars but I’m happily surprised that there are a lot of Asian voice actors in the series, from well-known film and television stars to professional VAs like Stephanie Sheh, Andrew Kishino, and Greg Chun.

Agreed, his wrangling on the floor with Lefty was both horrifying and hysterical.

Both are also traumatized from losing their mothers in different ways (to Hell and to aliens) as well as these otherworldly mechanisms affecting them personally, though much more intensely for Astra. So it makes total sense for her and Spooner to be best friends.

Right, it broke my heart when Steve “died” and then when Carter had to sacrifice herself.

Josh Keaton was pretty convincing as Steve so good job for him.

I hope it’s just a late review since folks were used to the Olympics preempting the show.

I first heard her on Bob’s Burgers and then saw her on The Good Place, and thought, hey she’s delightful. So I gave Nailed It a shot despite thinking how low-brow it is initially. And I came to love it too, for Nicole’s jokes, Jacques’ culinary knowledge, and their wacky chemistry.

#7 is Magic Tree Mike. Guy’s the absolute worst.

I found a video where Gilpin does her Ann Coulter impression. Can’t really judge how good of a job she does since I tend to avoid listening to selfish hate-spewing malcontents.

Yola was the last artist whose concert I attended pre-pandemic. Her previous album was both heartwarming and tearjerking - “Lonely the Night” is my favorite song of hers - so it sounds like “Stand for Myself” will continue the same while also going beyond Americana. I’m eager to give it a listen.

Gary Janetti previously wrote for Family Guy so yeah this makes sense. I’m planning on watching Jellystone tomorrow anyway.

I had a feeling Constantine would be leaving the show, although I didn’t expect Matt Ryan to still continue onward. Glass half-empty, glass half-full.

Oh yeah, give it a watch if you are fond of whimsy and Barry Sonnenfeld’s visual style. It might just make your summer better.
