Cometic head gaskets are generally regarded as the best out there. I suspect warpage as the culprit.
Get a pair of welder's gloves instead of those things. Cheap and cheerful. Also a flat and round whisk.
And you believed him? Riiight!
I've found that on really hazy oxidized plastic , a quick wipe with solvent (acetone or brake cleaner ) will take that dead top layer off and speed up the polishing immensly.
As far as polish goes ,Meguiar's Plastic-X is tops ,with plain old toothpaste a close second.
Ground loop problems at this level of engineering? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot! I realize you're trying to shave every last ounce of weight , but you don't do it there. When the system in question is essential to the car's function (i.e. propulsion) ,you make sure it works first!
Successful racers have that nasty streak that makes them abrasive in social situations.
Hey! For once it's NOT Florida!~
I wonder what the powerplant(s) are?
During the Berlin Airlift, pilots routinely dropped candy and small toys to the kids.
Why can't cars have this kind of technology/price ratio? If anything, the economies of scale should be greater.
Homage to Shelby
I just sweat off a small shallot in butter and olive oil, add the mushrooms and soften them some , drop in the arborio and coat it. At that point you add 1 1/2 cup of red wine and and begin the rice . Once the rice gets slightly soft ,start adding in the beef stock and proscuitto. Add more pepper and less salt than…
We don't call them donorcycles in South Florida for nothing!
Shallots , mushrooms and julienned prosciutto make an amazing risotto with red wine and beef stock.
It was an AC 130 before the technology caught up.
Insurance being so high in South Florida, a tuned 2.3 makes sense over a 5.0 in the long run.
Let's get a smaller, harder tire under the car and take the plates off. It's not the straightaway speed thats the problem , it's the bunched up mess all the way around. Cup cars exceed 200 mph at Pocono and Michigan without the big furballs they have on plate tracks.
The only concession would have to be A/C , but all else is OK . Preston Tucker wanted a similar engine configuration for his car also. With a 20Amp alternator aboard , it should make enough for lighting and basic entertainment .25HP @500 lb 20 lb /hp won't melt tires but it'll keep up ok.
Cup cars probably have the lowest tire to power ratio of any modern racecar. With all the tuning to make them turn left, that has to affect the feel significantly also. A midget will magnify these tendencies, and get her used to the dynamics.
