I kinda like the idea of DC abandoning the aggressive extended universe model where everything is interconnected. Marvel does a great job with it, but they’ve shown how hard it get to keep everything canonical and connected with their essential abandonment of the TV universe, and the establishment of a giant blue blob

Seriously, are they goddamn spies in this one?

So they're going full Cars 2 on this one huh? Taking this series off of a college campus was always a huge mistake

If it's gonna be a director named David that uses his full name rebooting this series I wish it was David Robert Mitchell, but this still sounds like it could be interesting

This shit gets a better grade than the new Menzingers? The fuck?

Gonna join in with the rest of the commentariat here and say that I think this is a really solid record

Really excited for this one, Perkins definitely seems like a director with a ton of potential.
I Am the Pretty Thing… was moody and well directed, but Jesus it was slow. Such a slow burn that it made House of the Devil look like a damn marathon in comparison.

(Note — I've only watched up to this episode so far) I don't know what it is, but something about this show is just not clicking with me so far. I grew up with the books and absolutely adore them (they were my Harry Potter for sure), and I really loved the Nickelodeon movie too. But something about the show just

Liked a lot of this movie, but good lord was that final twist awful. All of this swag looks awesome though

The best quote from that interview: "We try to keep audiences coming back in greater numbers by doing the unexpected and not simply following a pattern or a mold or a formula." Riiiiiiight Feige, act like your movies aren't formulaic as fuck. I mean I'm a comics fanboy and love the MCU as much as the next guy, but

The solemnity of this trailer is more hilarious than any joke from either Cars movie

Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face, stars fill my dreams.
I am a traveller in both time and space, to be where I have been.

The song is killer, just like everything they touch. I'm still not really in a place where I can enjoy it though unfortunately, last night sucked the soul out of my body. Also, did anybody else follow along with Killer Mike becoming so out of touch and condescending on social media these past couple of weeks, up to

I miss Gold Motel so much, both of their albums are damn near perfect

It really, really did *enters contest*

I live in Charlotte and one of the guys from the actual heist goes to my parents' church (not sure if he's Wilson or Galifanakis or one of the other ones). He and his family had multiple set visits that they were proud of and have all been cheerfully plugging the film (this is after he spent I think 10 years in prison

I rewatched it last fall and decided to make it an annual tradition this year. It is fantastic. Curling up on the couch and watching through it is a great way to spend a cold rainy October afternoon

The Strangers is also really, really creepy. It's a shame Bryan Bertino hasn't really made anything worthwhile since, it seemed like it could have been the start of a promising horror career.

My annual traditions: Halloween, Rocky Horror, Young Frankenstein, Over the Garden Wall, and Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown

There was a (heartbreaking) quote from one of his teammates today (don't remember who) that said that Jose had told him with a grin after that game that he thought it was the best game he had ever pitched…fuck that makes me so sad to think about
