Yes because if your new engines have trouble nobody will question and old Nissan truck broken down someplace. also you know all the issues with the old body so any new issues you can isolate as drive train issues.

Don’t feel too bad... All those who say they would buy this in North America end up with a Rav4 or Highlander.

i do the same thing. Sore back, or just need to relax, seat heaters are great. At 72* I don’t keep them on long. In my jeep, I’ll run seat heaters if the roof is off until almost 80*

I’ve seen a lot of people do this, surprisingly. One person told me it's because it helps with a bad back.

Holy shitballs Batman that really puts it into perspective.

It’s also not as good as a 4v 4.6 for making power. If John Mihovets is making 3000HP out of a production block.

I was gonna comment “looks as big as the AMC 4.0 in the my XJ!” And then I realized yep, that’s why straight 6ers aren’t super popular packaging even though they run great. Not much you can do to make em any smaller for a given displacement.

Wow. That puts it into perspective. So it’s not short for “Barramundi” like the article says but a misspelling of “barge”.

Nothing says a fun project like absurd part shipping costs/delays

Except that the GM high-feature V6 is yet another steaming heap of GM junk. Wither either the mustang or the camaro I’ll take the 4 banger or the V8 at least with the 4s you can turn the boost up.

“I like people going through the extra effort to swap weird and unusual motors.”

This is the problem with these takes though. YOU aren’t paying for that swap. YOU aren’t living with that swap. YOU aren’t having to deal with the integration hassles of that swap. Everyone wants someone else to foot the bill to put an

Yes, though this isn’t a facelift; it’s a generational change.

Nah, Sorry.

I think the problem isn’t just ‘needing a computer’. If I remember right, it’s like dealer only diagnostic tools with cars. It’s that it has to be a Deere authorized mechanic with a proprietary set of hardware that they won’t sell you, and you can’t just use any old laptop.

Yeah, here’s a quote from one of the earlier

Yeah, I’d even consider an Explorer—esp. if it’s a 5-speed—over anything with the truck 3VZE.

They’re awful motors, but if the headgasket is taken care of they’ll dutifully carry on for 300k miles. At 11MPG. Uphill or down.

Some person: If I “forget” to turn of my headlights, I have an excuse to not drive to that stupid baby shower

The Rabbit edition comes standard with the adaptive HID headlights, and they are fantastic!

Not sure if you’re referring to the halogens, but the LED headlights that are shown in this story are incredibly good. I love them on my Golf R, and the full high-beams are truly incredible for dark curvy roads.

Less ugly than the Chevy is a pretty low bar.
