I got one.

Actually quite the opposite. No cop has EVER shot radar on the Merritt. There’s nowhere for them to park let alone pull someone over.

You could have stopped at another Toyota dealer on the way home and bought another 4runner, though. No chance of that with this car.

$39,000

Good point about the parts. In all honesty this guys saving grace that may get it totaled is I would bet money there is 0 availability for the front and rear bumper covers, hood, headlights, trim, etc and it would cost the insurance company more in rental fees to have the car sit and wait for them then to just total

If you drive I-95 through CT, I don’t wish anything worse upon you, as you’ve already put yourself in a terrible enough fate.

Yea airbags aren’t deployed and the frame can be “fixed.” The only reason they may total it is because the parts aren’t readily available for the type R yet. If the rear subframe isn’t bent, it wont be totaled.

Oh, they test. They test for a pulse and send you on your way.

All this planning to find the car and his route through CT is on 95? That is the one absolute worst way to try to pass through that place.

To be fair the leggings thing was because they didn’t follow the dress code for the free ride they were getting.

Rabbits are not frail weak fragile creatures as you state. I have owned rabbits all my life and I can attest that they are very hardy little buggers. They’re resistant to disease, very clean and can easily reach 15 years of age. Not to mention they’re totes adorbs.

Not as bad as people would lead you to believe. Just expensive. In 1995 they changed to a vented opti which is more durable. But you still want the 1996 for OBDII.

When I was 13 my dad bought me a 1955 CJ-5 out of a guy’s backyard for $300. My friend and I spent the summer cleaning the carb, installing a fuel pump (to the tank under the driver’s seat), and doing other repairs with the Haynes manual.

I think they end up trying to out-whacky each other with unusual choices.

Lets cut our teeth on changing that Opti-Spark module. I never had to do it on my 1995 z28 back in the day but talking to those who have you learn all sorts of new colorful language. Although, I think by 1995 they changed them so they did not fail as early/much.

Yeah, seriously. How was this not suggested?

What? Miata seems the obvious choice. Taking it to the track, tons of parts, easy to work on, simple, small, doesn’t require a big trailer, can be had for under 5k, reliable.

Come on now, Gerry did the right thing here. The rule in this situation is very clear, and so he had no choice but to enforce it: moving the on-deck circle is a union job.

As Adrian Beltre approaches his 3000th hit, and almost assuredly being voted into baseball’s hall of fame, I just want to say that this is, without a doubt, the greatest moment of this man’s career.

Well, yeah, otherwise they would have just kept doing it “for the data”
Not at all because it’s fun. Nope.
