He didn’t die, wasn’t he one of the trial witnesses in the original finale? Or am I imagining this?

That finale is such a mess. Like literally a mess...it feels unfinished, like most of the season did, but...more so.
I know what you should listen to!
I liked it, but I don’t think it’s anywhere near one of the best movies of the year. I’m kind of glad it’s not on these lists because I spent all year wondering why it was so insanely overpraised.
Wonder Woman making the cut would astonish me. It’s such an unremarkable, just about competent movie, with lots of problems and a terrible last act (“I WILL DESTROY YOU!!!!”) I think I really liked one scene, everything else was either OK or bad.
I am seriously struggling to even figure out what Lady Bird has in common with Wes Anderson movies. I can’t even think of a single element of the movie that it shares with a Wes Anderson movie. The look, the dialogue, the story, the pacing, the music, the...props and locations and set design? The tone? What are you…
Thor: Ragnarok had a lot of problems and I left the theater kind of annoyed by the movie.
What is with this obsession with “tone” that is so persistent today? The tone of the movie isn’t all over the place. The tone throughout is consistently of an adventure movie with humor and drama and action. The tone is like a Star Wars movie.
..Why did he tell him he had to leave? Did I miss something? Is there any context for that?
Yeah, I KNOW their history. I still don’t think it makes sense he did a whole comic to make fun of him and never said that or implied that and there’s no evidence, even anecdotal, to suggest that.
Yeah, I agree completely. The directing is just very...competent. But I still would classify it as “good” or at least worth seeing. I had a fun time watching it since I love The Room, but in the days that followed I kept wondering how much better it could have been with a real director.
Americans had an aimless and uneventful season. Surprised to see it so high on this list when there’s quite a few shows that didn’t even make it.
Patriot. PATRIOT!!
You forgot Patriot.
I also find it bizarre this episode got a C when it was...maybe the only one this season I actually liked.
“What was up with the Millennial angle here? Do Millennials not like fart jokes? Is that a thing?”
“ I was not offering dinner to someone I liked as a gesture of kindness. I was offering it as a pretense to initiate a physical act. I felt/feel that my motives were dishonest, and THAT is what bothers me.”
I like The Good Place.
That can’t possibly be the first time he wasn’t there for a commentary? He’s not on a lot of episodes.
I thought it was boring and underwhelming.
