I’ve always hated watching that clip. It is painfully uncomfortable and Stewart is a being a bully in it. The guy is making things uncomfortable with his question, sure, but Stewart mocks him instead of taking it even a little seriously. It’s all so gross.

I was really enjoying Elongated Man so far this season but now the very name gives me the creeps.

Yes, I am aware that you being a reasonably intelligent person is aware that words can have more than one meaning. Maybe next time you can just not care about a one word post a stranger on the internet makes and move on instead of being condescending and rude?

It doesn’t seem like these people avoided talking about it? They made jokes about it. As is their wont.

I am a native English speaker. I have never heard the term before. The word kinky has blatant sexual connotations I didn’t think were possible to ignore, hence my one-word post asking about the use of the term. I thought it was...kinky...of her to use the word but it also seemed tonally off for the statement she was

I’ve only ever heard of the one meaning of “kinky,”I thought she was describing her hair in a fun way but then when she said it again I wondered if it was a term that I never knew meant something else. I’ve never ever heard that word used to describe hair before.

“Kinky”?

“if not for all the interviews in which Tambor seems like a genuinely warm and lovable human being”

THANK YOU. I was so bored during Usual Suspects that I didn’t give a shit about the twist when it happened.

Edit: Nevermind. Also how do you delete comments in this thing.

I like Beck. I tried listening to some of those new Beck songs. My reaction was basically...hey, this sounds like all that current popular music I can’t stand. Guess I’ll never listen to this album again.

I agree with you, I was hoping for actual examples, like, say, dialogue? Or a picture of one of the offensive pages? I am more than certain the critique is accurate, but I was fascinated to see what she was talking about since, due to this bad review, I have no interest in actually buying the book.

What do you mean inability to focus on a tone? I never saw that problem in the show. The show has balanced all the tones consistently since the very first episodes: campy fun and dark humor for the villains, more sincere for the Bruce stuff, and cop show morality drama but to absurd heights with all the Gordon and

It’s from a season 1 episode of Mad Men, and it’s really great.

I completely forgot this existed, and I’m a huge Mad Men fan. I’m assuming I should continue not seeing it...

Oh hey it’s a comics article. Wow. I found one. And just look at all these comments. Hooray.
