Is it just me or does the 570GT look way better than the 570S? The long greenhouse of this one looks so much nicer than the one that ends abruptly in the normal one. Aside from cost and maybe weight, I see no downside to the GT vs the S.

Well, sure, but BMW now has its half-M models, like the M235i and the X4 M40i. Those confuse the hell out of me (although I love the way the M235i drives and would/might buy one).

Well, an M2xx (a “sub M# car”) isn’t the same as a M3 or other single digit car, just as a Cxxx AMG (sub AMG car) car isn’t the same as a two digit car - as you say, and as I was saying. The former are much more akin to trim levels than truly distinct models. Both dilute the tuned moniker.

This is exactly what BMW M has done.
