The Durango, Grand Cherokee, Mercedes ML and new GLE all share a chassis designed ground up to be a SUV. Unlike CUVs like the Explorer, which is a modified Taurus. I.E. the XJ Cherokee/Range Rover/ Touareg(Q7/Cayenne) are unibodies and aren't car based. So they have proper SUV suspension, can tow, go off road, etc.
