How is this possible? 200k miles a year translates to doing 22 miles non-stop every year. She must be letting someone use the car while she sleeps, surely.

Of course, this is all stupid gimmicks. But the fart-mode sounds like it could be amusing.

I agree. The only modern cars that you can push to the limit at reasonably sensible speeds are the Mazda Miata and Subaru BRZ. The only other exceptions are crapcans like the Mitsubishi Mirage, and lifted crapcans, like that Nissan Kicks.

My car has no clock. So I need a watch to see precisely how late I’m going to be when I’m stuck behind a Prius doing 15mph below the speed limit.

I agree. They should make a new Roadmaster, using a lowered Tahoe chassis with a sedan or wagon body.

A lot of luxury cars have felt-lined door pockets, so coins and whatever else you have in there doesn’t rattle around. In cheap cars, its all plastic. In my E60 BMW 5 Series, it is partially felt-lined; only one side of the inside of the pocket is felt, while the other side is plastic. So things inside the door pocket

It needs the Coyote V8 too, at least as an option. Also, I will be sad if it ends up being just for the Chinese market.

Most of the SUV’s you see are crossovers, which are basically just blobs with lots of black plastic. They’re basically minivans with a lift kit to make them less stable.

Vauxhall and Opel weren’t killed off, they were just sold to PSA, the parent company of Peugeot and Citroen.

Making the 3 Series an auto-only when the manual transmission from the F30 would still fit makes it feel like BMW is giving us enthusiasts the middle finger. I propose we show them the finger, by buying a Genesis G70 with the manual. To be clear, a new one, not waiting for a used one.

Red flags when buying a used car:

Its nice, but that's way too expensive

Hand over hand is the better steering method. Its smoother, so it reduces the chances of having the front of the car slide, and is also faster, so is better for swerving to avoid an animal on the road for example, and it allows you to control a slide properly too. One of the first things any respectable advanced

Ah, the air-cooled Porsche 911. The only overrated car I ever wanted.

I love this generation of S Class, but this example would be a project car, and the price doesn’t reflect this.

Is your comment aimed at VW?

Enzo Ferrari was known to be a bit of a crappy boss. Don’t know about the others though

Neutral: Ethical car companies do exist. They’re just small companies who build cars for enthusiasts. Lotus, TVR, Caterham seem to be pretty reasonable.

Could not agree more. If someone kills themselves in a crash because they don’t have autonomous safety tech, its natural selection. I think it would be better if cars had phone signal jammers built in to them, which only deactivate when the car stops. Instead of all this electronic driver aid crap, they should have a
