Time to post this again..... It gets a lot of use.

Yup, saying you have family in law (lawyers, cops, and judges) also gets you out of jury duty, since you might know someone involved and not be impartial.

Must say this again......Slanger was so frightened for his life that he realized he needed to plant evidence on the victim! I wish I was so clear headed when frightened for my life.

My father, who was a lawyer, used to tell me that the surest way of getting struck from jury duty was to say that “cops are always right.” If he had expressed this idea during interviews, he probably would have been struck. I bet this asshole held that view back because he wanted to be chosen.

It hasn’t been swift. Fox News has been going on about dead people voting for years. I know this because my father-in-law goes on about it.

Plus, some kids will only go to adults that they know and trust.

There is a huge opportunity coming soon. Many, many Republican governors will be term-limited out in the next few years. The DNC needs to find good candidates to run for those offices. Time to take back the states.

She was a huge fucking thorn in W’s side. Trump has a quicker trigger to anger.

Dean wants to come back as Dem. Chair and make that happen. Personally, I think that putting back the people who went from being in the weeds in 2004 to holding the House/Senate/Presidency in 2008 is not a bad thing. I do kind of wish that there were co-chairs for things because I like Ellison too.

Yeah, but what company wants you to pay $ for leaving a contract, especially after already working for them for 2+ years? And who makes a contract 3 years long?!

Continuing the reasons why Buc-ees is awful....

I remember during the primary season some Berners being very angry because it was impossible to vote in Arizona and that was obviously all Hillary’s fault. I had to point out that the Sec. of Arizona controls the number of voting booths in Arizona and that person is a Republican more than once. People don’t read. They

I agree with this whole heartedly.

I met my sister-in-law’s Trumptastic boyfriend for the first time at Thanksgiving. Her ex-husband was/is a wretched, abusive monster; so now I am very protective of her and scared that she is going to date another loser. Anyways, I maybe said 10 words to the guy before he told me and my husband that he had two black

Newsweek covered this, as did the WaPo.....The largest issue is that print journalism bothered with doing investigations. TV news never bothered picking it up, since there was always something new every day.

Trump does have a very bad KFC habit, so we all can dream.....

The main issue is that we elect a candidate rather than a slate of electors. So, the republicans pick loyal republican electors and the democrats pick slightly less loyal democratic electors. The electors are supposed to be distinguished citizens, rather than party hacks.

People who like Trump are willing to forgive any number of his sins. I had a long conversation where a business person said that no good business person has not been sued, like Trump. I had to point out that a good business person does not have 7500 lawsuits against his business, mostly for non-payment.
