This is literally the only reasonable response here.

It’s slightly ironic to point this out and then refer to Elon’s twitter account as “Tesla/Musk”

well, cancel culture was cancelled for a minute but then it came back when it was determined that cancellation had good aspects to it (R. Kelly for example)

dear glob I’ve not thought about HLIN, VLIN and PLOT in such a long time. Now I’m remembering the crunched up pieces of graph paper under my chair as I attempted to make a TMNT game when I was 8. Next thing you’re gonna post better have some good PEEKs and POKEs...

Everyone knows Samurai Goroh in the Fire Stingray was always the right choice. (Fite me.)

I always wrung my hands and worried about the (apparent) hundreds of people that would be killed in the dense, blurry Mode-7 city grid far below the floating raceways of Mute City whenever a jump off of one of the ramps went awry... that black plume of smoke... I imagined the screams in my head

Hey I got my MSF certificate on a TW200. Great, easy bike to ride when you’re starting out. (Beats the Honda Lead/Elite I rode before that.) Got me into Yamahas, and I soon graduated to a Virago XV250, then a 535, then a 750, then an 1100. Eventually, I ended up dailying an FZ1000. Man I miss that bike.

This gif always turns me on slightly. (I’m sorry.)

...the oldest ones are approaching 40.

Fantastic article, Erin, thank you so much.

This right here. I’m down to have fun with this, and Torch seems to have the right attitude toward it. This is fun, not the dudes further up in the comments making up fake tantrums that Elon is apparently having. The “pedo guy” thing? Now THAT is a tantrum. This? This seems like silly fun, and it’s being milked for

Yeah, “underpants” would have been better, I agree.

Blind faith! Hero worship! White Knighting! This is all so exciting! :D

This is a proportionate response. Over-the-top and “guy at the burger king counter who got the wrong sandwich”-screamy, but not quite incorrect, either. I like it. Have a star.

This. This is exactly what I’m saying. Like... let’s actually see what the plan is before shitting our collective pants about how embarrassed thousands of employees at a company might be because of a track day...

If it’s genuine outrage, that kinda makes it worse, IMO. Good on you for being genuinely enraged I guess! 👍

Lol where did I mention having an understanding “trying to drive a car fast”? I’m genuinely confused by this take. All I see is a car company exec talking about bringing a car to a track and a bunch of hard-ons freaking out about it. I guess I should go admit to my boss that I’m not an engineer after all, but a failed

I looked into it and I think I get it now.
