For the record, I would probably buy the imagined device pictured in all of these "PSP2" news posts. I don't think I would buy what's actually being talked about and developed by Sony, however.

I used to browse through games at my local Yaohan Plaza, and even as far back as the early 90s, I always thought the Japanese had a much better design sense for game box art. Some art was better than the actual game experience.

Although I've warmed to StarCraft's take on the riff, I'd rather see a decent 40K movie. I know they're making an animated Ultramarines film, but a great live action Warhammer 40,000 film seems like it would have a lot more depth due to the backstory. Although, given how Avatar turned out (great visuals, meh story),

@diagorus: Yeah, I'm going to have to pass on it, too. I have slightly higher hopes for Diablo III, but I suspect it will be the result of similar design ethos.

Is anyone else thinking what I'm thinking? They could have made this ten years ago. Well, not this exact game, because it looks like it has scads of polish where the trimmings are concerned, but unfortunately it goes to show that sometimes you do have to split your market if you want to try and please everybody. I

I think what we need is a Monty Python-esque "hostile takeover" of Activision, with Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert leading the charge. Arrrrgh, avast ye corporate bureaucratic type structure, and prepare to be scuttled!

I love Miyazaki-san's work, but... what the hell is he talking about? Do people in Japan masturbate by stroking a capacitive touch screen?! But seriously, why is he so annoyed by people being quiet and keeping to themselves on trains? Does he expect conversation among strangers? I suppose he doesn't live in a big

Great, more bullshots. I'm lovin' the Snake Eater vibe they're rockin', though.

It might be my age, but as a consumer I find myself tiring of these cookie cutter war games they're churning out. Don't get me wrong, I can't ignore that sometimes I have a hankering to jump into an immersive world (that's essentially an interactive action movie) and blast some "bad guys", but personally I'm bored of

Qore has no love for those outside of the USA. Oh well, as VerBel has suggested, there's always the 'Tube.

It's a shame they insist on using virtual cards in these games. It wasn't a perfect series, but it seems like Nival Interactive understood the power of the platform with the Etherlords series.

@Foxstar is in love with Kotaku's two Brians.: I agree, only Sony is to blame for the PSP's failure.

@nago: You have totally hit the nail on the head on both counts, as far as I'm concerned. I think the most charming and compelling games on handheld platforms use 3D sparingly and play more to the strength of the platform rather than trying to shoehorn in something from a less portable platform. Once again, it seems

@breadtruck: I don't know— mine was okay until some of the more recent updates. Dunno, maybe it's just my ISP has taken a nosedive, but it's laggy as hell even if I connect to very local servers... and all my other games seem fine. It just feels like they missed the mark slightly to really challenge MW2. Don't get me

@Foddz: It seemed to be better at launch than it is now. It's laggy, the server browser is clunky and just generally MW2 gives a better "joining servers" experience. I like the actual gameplay and unlocks of BC2, though.

@Kral2: Good for you!

@buddhatooda: Well, the server browser sort of works, but doesn't remember the region you normally search for. I hate that it has 3 different screens for you to click "log in" on— just get me into the game, damnit! Do the ping counters work for you? They never show anything in that column. Also the game is extremely

I thought for a sec it was Giantbomb's Ryan Davis.

It's too bad BC2 is still BUS-TED (on PC, at least). I want to play and enjoy it, but I think it will be old hat by the time they fix it.

Okay, these posts are just getting weird now. I feel like I'm leafing through the back of a "men's magazine."
