I completely agree with you about a full sized, fully loaded luxury Volvo. I feel like Volvo gives way more of an honest, simple, luxury satisfaction while BMW and Mercedes are way to into the tech in their cars. Volvo is more focused on your comfort and safty. And is it just me or does a Volvo make you feel way…

On the Miata I’d have to say a 10 or 12mm. Old Japanese cars are the best

Yeah that would be a blast! Winters do destroy cars, I keep the Miata stored during the winter too. But I’ve always wanted to do one of those winter racing schools in it. Someday I’ll take it out for one

Keep doing it. The car would want you to, it doesn’t care what it’s worth. I’m sure if it could talk it would tell you to throw it around a frozen lake all winter:)

I would just like to say that I hate BMW’s stupid naming scheme now. The Coupe M3 should just be called an M3 and not M4. I wish they hadn’t made things stupidly mixed up. It’s like they enjoy making new names for cars that already exist and people enjoy, just to give them a new name. It’s all stupidity in my opinion

Actually I’m a Japanese enthusiast. I daily a Miata and am building a $300 1977 Civic. So I'm kinda in the same spot you were. And I would much rather have my civic than the riv. I was just defending the luxo barge enthusiasts out there

Everyone has different opinions on “fun.” This is why I hate when people say only lightweight rwd cars cars are enthusiast cars. This car could be just as fun to many people as an old beat up Datsun.

Agreed. I learned in what is now my 94 Miata. The clutch was already like 3 years old when I first started about 2 years ago. Clutch still works perfect. I had previous experience on bikes though.
