Because I play RPGs for the characters. And if the characters all look, behave the same then I'm not going to have a fun time. It's the reason I stuck with FF13 - all the characters were great! It's just the world that sucked. This game looks to do the opposite.

Not quite accurate. Nintendo managed that with the Nintendo 3DS in 2011. A total of, what was it... 15 million units, I believe, between Feb. and the end of Dec.? And that is a system that was, for its entire first and second quarter, essentially considered a massive flop and barely sold at all.

It's a kiddie show with no higher pretensions, and frankly it's more entertaining than any other of Marvel's current animated shows (alas Avengers EMH and Spectacular Spider, you are still greatly missed!)
A bodybuilder's physique isn't what will give you the appropiate strength to handle a bow and arrow, real archery pros don't look anything like that. It's probably because Hawkeye is an american superhero, and thus for the Japanese he has to be depicted as a towering (and blonde!) mountain of muscles.
