So…a little off-topic but can someone explain to me why they made Jon King in the North?

I have trained for over two decades in the twisted and perverse dark arts of the internet. I know its terrible secrets well.
I know. It’s one of the few things keeping my cold, dead heart even slightly optimistic for humanity in 2018.
To be fair, while I don’t own any doilies (and, if honest, am not entirely certain I know their purpose), if I did own some, they would totes be lace.
It’s a beautiful scene, I’ll give you that. Not sure it’s a logical one.
“So basically, i liked this movie upon further viewing and think people should probably just lighten up.”
Not trying to take anything away from what you like—I really am glad you’re finding enjoyment in it.
I’ve never personally seen the appeal of games like this, but everything I’ve seen makes this look like a clear upgrade from its predecessors in every way.
I don’t really think that’s the problem, though.
Biggest problem I had wasn’t that she was upset. It was that she tried lying about why she was upset. Like, just be real and say: “I’m super invested in this fictional thing and your changing the conversation around it in a way I don’t like”. At least then you can have a good conversation about it. One that, by the…
I mean...I think the real answer isn’t so black and white?
That may be a slight over-reaction.
Hey—I’m with you. I love those scenes but am very open to the idea that they’re too “dancey” and lack the visceral quality of, say, that TFA duel.
I mean, agree to disagree man.
All of this just makes me...sad. Bioware used to be special. Now EA is pushing them more and more in a direction that seems like the antithesis of what Bioware used to represent and farther away from what fans like myself miss about the industry.
I had never thought about Joaquin Phoenix but that would have been awesome. You would have to age him up more—past even the Attack of the Clones age—but he’s such a good actor he could have smashed it.
Yep.
I have some narrative problems with both the Force Awakens and TLJ duels, but from a choreography standpoint they do strike a nice balance in tone between the Prequels and Original Trilogy (though my ideal would probably be halfway between TLJ and the prequels).
Wow, you’re…passionate about this. Agree to disagree, I guess?
Hey—I have no problem with the “hit things” role from a team dynamic. But it doesn’t really add or subtract much from a narrative/plot dynamic, which is where I was coming from.
