I’ve never heard a factory exhaust that was too loud or a factory tune that had too many pops. The aftermarket tunes and hardware, or removal of hardware, is where this stuff really gets annoying and impacts the quality of life.

The subaru guy could modify his car to get it close to the 4Runner. Roof storage, or tow storage, and a little bit of a lift can go a good way.
