I do not need a Harry Potter reboot, nor do I need any additional Fantastic Beasts films.

By any normal standard, Lightyear did not bomb at the box office. It made $226 million worldwide on a production budget of $200 million. Many, many people went to see Lightyear in the theatre, and many of them probably thought it was a perfectly fine way to spend their time. I saw it on a plane, and enjoyed it (mostly

I liked Onward quite a bit.

It’s an animated movie from a Universe that includes sentient toys and aggressive plants. What inclusion could possibly be forced? ANYTHING is possible.

OK. That is very funny. I own a Sox toy, because Sox is indeed not just the best character in the movie, but a very good character indeed.

I now have a Sox toy on my desk. I have never owned a Buzz toy.

Lightyear gave us Sox, and that is enough.

As the mother of a high-achieving daughter who suffers from anxiety AND the daughter of a scary-as-hell mother, Turning Red had me rocking back and forth sobbing with my face in my hands. I don’t know if that makes it a good movie, but I felt seen.

There is a stage show? Is that something one can still go and see?

That is a particularly lovely picture of her. RIP.

My mom is a life-long, kale-loving conservative Republican. One thing we can agree on is that KALE IS NOT POLITICAL.

Which means they took it just about a seriously as necessary. Their product is already at 100% market saturation.

Whenever I long for the days when abortion was not a political issue, I remind myself that there was also a time when candy ads were not considered a political issue.

Everyone should see The Limey. That is all.

I was visiting St. Andrews a few years ago and was delighted to learn that a 5K race was being held on the beach. Yes, that beach. Less excited to learn that no one else would be running in slow motion, but it was still a great experience.

I agree. His whole transformation at the end was very romantic, especially considering he had no way of knowing she would take hime back. This is the way to “get the girl”, not holding up some dumbass boom box or running through the rain.

But doing those things actually is romantic, far more romantic than some random gesture. He saw what she needed from him, and he did exactly that.

Ben reading the pregnancy books and looking out for Alison’s welfare during the delivery in “Knocked Up”

Agreed.

I don’t remember this whole movie being all that good, but it definitely had some very funny bits. And also Scott Bakula, which I am very much down for. Considering how deep they needed to go for some of the picks and how tangential football was to others, I’m not sure why they omitted any movies that were completely
