NFTs are a scam because they are trying to get you to speculate upon and pay more for items that do not require either

Fair point but clearly they weren’t saying their mind wasn’t changed because there wasn’t enough evidence - they picked their side and aren’t interested in any discussion that doesn’t agree with them. “hate is a strong word” “btw fuck off”
Seems less disturbing than No Russian (and I think No Russian is a thought provoking level). Airport terrorist attacks are no laughing matter either. Kids are already reminded that their school could become a bloodbath any given day with news and active shooter drills, I don’t see why a game acknowledging that SWAT…
A rude comment is fitting for a rude article that has lines such as “Fuck off!” in it
How is that any more of a scam than CS:GO items on the steam market, and why isn’t kotaku on a crusade against them?
I’m not the one saying “my mind can’t be changed”. The irony of you saying i’m the one lacking self-awareness is *popular meme*
damn... you should evaluate this position you have. true believer vibes
so you hate it for no real reason, ok
yes, removing the main criticism does make it better. don’t you want to be accurate when sharing info online?
The more backlash these Ubisoft helmet NFTs get, the more legendary they are going to be. Years from now these will be seen as the helmets that triggered half the internet. Imagine owning one of the original Oblivion horse armor NFTs.
they’re using a proof of stake blockchain, so the environment reason doesn’t make sense.
Hi alt-account of Burnedin, this is a new low, even for you
Projection
There’s really no other explanation for the amount of vitriol from nocoiners. It’s subconscious jealousy and deep down you know it
Great news guys, Burnedin from Kotaku.com is finally starting to see some potential uses for blockchain technology! Remember, if we can’t convince him that crypto and NFTs are useful, he will shut us down, and all these billions of funding and development will go to waste. It’s only by his permission that web3 will…
if you’re against “no-ownership”, i’m not sure why you wouldn’t be supportive of moves to the blockchain. not that Ubisoft will be decentralized with this Quartz stuff, but it’s still better than being on their own server, and it’s just the start
NFTs will be ubiquitous in 20 years and kids will be complaining about neuro-subscriptions or something
there was the same outcry with microtransactions, and outcry with free-to-play. NFTs make a lot of sense, they will open countless interesting methods of monetization and i personally don’t think that’s a bad thing. some of the monetization methods will be shit, and some will be great, just like with F2P
there’s no requirement for an NFT to be a 1/1 single edition, or to be 1/10,000 with each one being unique. think of it more like CS:GO or rust items, but less of a walled-garden
i think it’s simply that nobody likes talking to you
