It seems like, while these streaming companies have metrics that they can quantify what brings in new subscribers, they have dick all understanding on how to keep the customers they have. Getting rid of content is a quick way of making people leave the platform, especially people who only have it for the niche…
sources referred to the movie as “irredeemable” after test screenings.
No funny moments? I laughed heartily at Patrick squirming when confronted with his anti-semitism, Nathan’s physical comedy in his ‘dad’ role, the madness of the aging mirrors, th absurdity of the ‘emotional rehearsal’, planting zucchinis like carrots, the sticker on the bell peper and Nathan’s reaction to it and more…
The part about Patrick’s phone dying reminded me of a naive person not being willing to believe that they are, in fact, being ghosted and that the other party has just blocked their number. That kind of self-lie seems very in-character for Nathan in this show.
This is outrageous.
How about commemorating all of the hard working real life meth dealers, Albuquerque? How about them?
wait... you think that a man who is accused by his brother to have married a gold digger who is after their grandfather’s inheritance goes on a trip with somebody else’s grandfather to dig up literal gold only to unwittingly end up inheriting part of the gold he helped dig up from that stranger’s grandfather less…
Why such low grades? This is a remarkable show.
It is definitely weekly. Jerry and Gene are always talking about Nebraska football and college football is played once a week on Saturdays. Plus Gene is shown training Jeff to quickly navigate to twenty different sections of a store - that is something that isn’t going to happen in the course of a week either.
Take a breather, Racism Bot.
Oh, wow, I didn’t know there was an even more annoying form of content generation than posting a trailer and then writing a paragraph summarizing said trailer. Now in lieu of facile summary we get facile “analysis” instead. So glad someone else watched this 3 minute trailer and then took the time and effort to inform…
One of my favourite jokes was Nathan eating a sauce packet as a snack when he was undercover as Thriftyboy.
I’d also add that Nathan’s background is in improv - Seth Rogan raves about how Nathan would be relatively quiet in an improv scene and then would bring the house down with the perfect line. So it’s not unreasonable to think he’s simply confident in his abilities without it being scripted.
Like most of Nathan's stuff I think it's more controlled than it is scripted. As you say though, scripted or unscripted doesn't really matter, it's genius either way.
Saw B. Didn’t bother to read.
This adult is finding it far from “aggressively mediocre.” Aside from maybe WandaVision, this show by far exceeds any of the other MCU shows in showing realistic human emotion an interaction that comes across as genuine.
To be fair, we were promised a lot of gore and seriousness in Moon Knight and we did not get it.
Sure, but the DM is initially skeptical about Erica’s character and when she mentions “Kukri” he doesn’t respond with “what book is that from?” or anything like that. He doesn’t actually vet her character sheet at all!
And yet she didn’t remember Will’s birthday in 1986. No one did.
