To add-on, memory function for power seats is a game-changer, especially in our one-car family where my wife and I are both regularly in the driver’s seat.

I’ll happily take a late-morning flight home too. Get up, have a relaxed breakfast, get on a plane, get home by ~2-3pm, have the afternoon to decompress before hitting the chaos of tomorrow.
In the video, he states that it is empty, and its purpose is to have one available should you happen to run out of gas close enough to walk to a gas station.
Equally generic owners for the most part too.
Same. I’ve done: Volvo > VW > Hyundai > Toyota > Volvo > Toyota > Tesla > Mercedes > Rivian (soon)
Same. Fedex randomly started to drop packages off against our alley-facing garage door, which is particularly annoying, since...by the very nature of WFH...we don’t open very frequently.
Our Tesla was about the 15% extra compared to our previous vehicles. They said, while the car is safer, if it does need repairs it’s more expensive and more of a PITA due to slow pipeline of available replacement parts...and replacement is the same for a total: significant shortage of replacement Teslas and high used…
It varies wildly based on what’s already in your home. If you have a relatively recent build with 200+ amps, you should be able to just add a 50-60A breaker to either the main panel or (more likely) a sub-panel. From there, wiring is another huge variable, as cost per foot of 48-60A wire is pricey, so 10ft of run is…
Moved from Indy to Austin...that one hurt...a lot. Then Austin to Denver, which was about a 1:1 (property tax savings was nice though). Our $500k townhouse purchase here in 2018 would have netted a 4000 sqft dream home in Indy.
I grew up in Indy (note the IU profile pic). Price checks out.
$170k here in Denver might get you a garage...but the rest of the house is gonna be extra.
I think we’re talking about cars that actually exist.
I think finding a house within folks’ budgets, at any rate, is proving to be the problem at the moment. Here in Denver, it’s over half a million, so you’re at nearly $3k/mo at 5%...
A lot of folks have an Xbox or Playstation, which can play DVDs (and unless you have an older model, Blu-rays)
Family with 2 kids and a dog and an EV (one for the whole fam). Not sure what the argument is.
Rivian has the R1T for midsize...may upcoming R2 platform could hit the compact segment (but not sure they’re working beyond a CUV R2 right now)
Denim is cotton. Cotton shrinks. Use dryer with caution.
In Texas, HEB will often segregate “this week” avocados from “tonight” avocados. That way, you can easily pick out the ones you need for guac tonight vs the ones you want to decorate your veggie/fruit basket until you ultimately forget you have it and throw the moldy remnants away.
Not to mention the collective heat generated from incandescent bulbs that LEDs simply don’t produce. One bulb might just be a bit warm, but having a slew of them on in the house while people are over can certainly have an impact on the indoor temp of the house.
