Um, four years olds do get sick. Sure, it’s usually not severe enough to go to the hospital, but it certainly isn’t 0% and it certainly can be severe enough to kick a kids butt for several days. Source: ask mine.

Step one: Proper tires
It’s also about customer perception. Most folks buying Teslas are cross-shopping BMW/Audi/Merc/Lexus/etc. Also, anyone I’ve encountered that asks about mine thinks it’s worth $20k+ more than it actually is. Obviously, this is anecdotal, but it’s been pretty consistent from my view.
I don’t think the average Joe shopping at Wally world is looking for a FS downhiller. The $600 basic MTB cruiser is probably plenty good.
Good find. REI does a good job of slotting into that “middle ground” between garbage Walmart bike and hyper-expensive indie bike shop bike. Their staff are actually trained for regular service issues, and their store-brand bikes are reasonably priced without being bottom-barrel crap.
Used bike will be the same price if not less and be much more serviceable and durable.
Used youth bikes are a dime-a-dozen...even from brands like Trek or Specialized (or Strider or Woom for the very littles). We found a gently used Strider bike for our toddler for free within the neighborhood without much issue. I’d take one of those 100 times before buying a WM bike.
Most of the ones I’ve seen have full-on headlights, and the instrument cluster is all lit up. Literally, they would have no idea their tail lights aren’t on without walking around the car. I don’t necessarily blame the driver, especially if *their* car doesn’t behave like that, and they’re in an unfamiliar rental…
Really need to implement those chip readers at the ports.
This. So much this. And the people that have no tail-lights are confused as hell wondering why I’m flashing my brights at them maniacally.
Unless things have changed in the last 7 years, Indiana doesn’t GAF about the quality of your ride either.
Bigger pet peeve...why are DRLs allowed to run w/o tail lights? I often see in dead-of-night a car driving down the highway pitch-ass-black from behind and confused AF because everyone is flashing their brights at him/her. “My lights are on...wtf”...well, only half true. This is especially bad here in CO where 50% of…
For those that want the bomber qualities of Hestra, but can’t fork over $180 for a pair, I suggest Free The Powder. Small shop out of Utah that makes a 90% Hestra glove for 50% of the price.

Literally just as quiet as the Dueler H/Ts that came stock.
I flew to pick up my last two cars (2005 4Runner and 2013 Land Cruiser). Not sure why this is such a big deal...
UA hub/loyalty as well (DEN). Well said.
5th Gear: Air travel has gotten less comfortable and less service oriented because consumers don’t care about comfort and service as much as they care about price. If consumers were fine with spending $500-1000 for every flight for better service/comfort, we’d see bigger seats and better food/service. However, the $99…
To add, if it’s a full-size spare, you might consider doing a 5-tire rotation to keep the wear even with the rest of the tires, and it helps avoid having a rotted, flat, stale spare when you need it most.
Better than a Lucid Wet Dream....
