Eh, gotta disagree. I’ve been posting here since way before Kinja, back in the days when every comment was “ungreyed” and a star by your name was a special little form of kudos that could only be given by the writers (and it didn’t actually have any affect on your comment’s visibility.)

Counterpoint: while Creative Assembly has been pretty hands-on with the community and fan-interactions, their current road-map for the game and how they’ve handled the very real gameplay issues their community has been bringing up since the Tomb Kings DLC is absolute garbage.

It’s especially stupid because there is no salvaging the train-wreck that is the new trilogy. You can only forget it and start fresh at a much displaced point in the Star Wars mythos.

Actually the last Jedi is the worst reviewed star wars movie so far. It’s even lower than any of the prequals and for good reason.

Honestly? Not really. The prequels, while still bad, had at least one or two scenes that I really enjoyed in each film.t

Not really...

Last Jedi needs to be remade because it had a terrible script, not because it had women in it.

that’s not irony. that’s just bad taste.

It is terrible, actually. Maybe not in the way that they portray the main characters, but rather how they portray all of their side characters. Rose, Holdo, Leia, and Luke all have nearly zero character growth and exist solely to challenge or question the main protagonists’ motives and resolve. They have no arc on

What are you confused about?

You know, some people also didn’t like The Last Jedi because it’s a structurally questionable movie with some bad writing and underdeveloped (or underused) characters.

I don’t want true to life. I want better than life. I want something aspirational and inspirational...you know...fiction.

Yeah, they talk about it toward the end of the interview. I’m paraphrasing, but Mills basically says there were aspects of the world and the experience of being in it that they thought were best conveyed in first-person, specifically the feeling of looking up and seeing huge skyscrapers towering above you.

Every year, people seem to ignore the E3 PC Gaming Show. Maneater was one of the coolest games to be announced during their stream.

In a gaming landscape where legendary single player devs have been taking a turn toward shared-worlds or whatever, I would pay an extra premium for these types of games.

Carefully rendered naked male butts? You can’t take my money fast enough. =D

I’m actually the complete opposite - I find that in first person you get a much better immersion and can actually notice all the small details in the environment - Like looking at a graffiti from up close, or even just looking at the rabble on the road - everything can feel so much more personal and immersive.

Agreed, this would be much better if it was like Fallout or GTA V where you had the option to play in either first or third person

I’m so torn on this because I hate first person games. I’m the guy that has to play Fallout in third person because I need to see the world around me and not just what’s in front. But I’ll give CDPR the benefit of the doubt since Wild Hunt is one of my favorite games ever. I just wish Cyberpunk had the Fallout 1st/3rd

Turns out the real Vault-tec experiment is seeing how players are going to behave in this game.
