It’s not really the Fallout universe anymore. They’ve kept the name, but they’ve abandoned the spirit.

Yeah he also said they were only just now starting to design what a system like the private servers would look like. He also said “some time” after launch it would be available. So basically, he said they’re working on it, but they don’t have anything to show for it nor do they have any concrete dates of when

There is but one ever-present fact in the Fallout universe and it’s been stated time and time again

Fallout 76’s decision to give players the ability to carelessly detonate nukes could be seen as a more pronounced version of the frivolity of previous Bethesda titles, those games in which nukes are tools rather than rhetorical devices that serve a point about America’s history.

Thank you for calling this pos of “fallout” franchise out. No article about this game has made me happier.

Very well written Heather.

If only they also created an autonomous bipedal machine programed to fire nukes only as a form of deterrent, as a means to “keep the peace”. Maybe some kind of Peacewalker if you will.

Can we get a special cutscene if all players disarm their nukes?

They also forgot that the internet is a terrible place. So the first thing people are going to do upon getting all the keys is destroying other players settlements.

A Discord bud of mine really went into town with this fact. He’s a Fallout 1 purist and absolutely hated the Bethesda Game Studios versions (sans New Vegas which was acceptable but not from Bethesda).

Yea, lets give players more ways to grief.

Lol, yeah ok. Cause that seems like a good business decision. Obviously players would love that and there wouldn’t be any kind of outrage and backlash. Clearly that wouldn’t ruin the game and drive players away.

RIP Fallout. So another “let’s be social” game. Thanks, i have zero interest to talking with toxic strangers. Why must be everything online ? I’m old, because i hate everything from PUBG to DOTA, when i see Overwatch i want to puke.

Wanna know what’s going to be even greater than having your settlement nuked by random players? Being nuked by random players that bough 200$ of weapons and power armor from the creation club.

No V.A.T.S no thanks

Yeah, that’s exactly what I got out of it. Nothing they showed or stated gave the impression that you’d be playing in instance alone if you want to play solo, in fact everything pointed toward the opposite.

“Building plays a big part in Fallout 76.”

I watched the whole presentation. It was quite obvious he was saying you can play solo if you want to, but that the game itself was entirely online. You’re still going to get stuck on a server with a few dozen other people, you just don’t have to team up with them. But they are still people who can kill you if they

Just like you can play any other online survival “entirely solo” – that doesn’t mean you’re solo on the map or immune to PVP. Are people really this thick?

this strikes me as something nobody asked
