Oh trust me, I know all too well the high-level MH game and its foibles. To be honest I get the same feeling with MH now as I do with Pokemon. When the original Red/Blue came out, I was a senior in high school, and I played those games to DEATH — the point where I haven't been able to play any of the other games in…
No, I'm not. As I posted above, I put 200+ hours into MH3G on the PSP. I'm a longtime veteran of the series. I just don't have the free time anymore to be able to put into games like that, with at most 30 minutes or so to play at the end of the day, if I'm lucky.
You didn't have to earn the Mario/Luigi gear for the Palico from the first DLC. And I'm all for putting stuff behind the guise of "earning/unlocking" it in-game, but was it necessary to make the wall so high that low-level or less hardcore players like myself are completely cut off from it?

Don't forget the Carnival Night Zone! The most momentum-killing level ever.
I don't know why people constantly make this argument. The classic Genesis trilogy of games were FULL of speed-killing platforming sections. Heck, arguably the most entertaining level in Sonic 2 was the casino slot machine, which required you to be slow and precise.
Boy, that "Trailer"...
This game looks absolutely adorable. And that song about 30 seconds into the trailer sounded remarkably like Aerith's theme from FFVII. I definitely need to give this a try, hehe.
This has also impacted other areas of import from overseas, including the Japan Crate food delivery service. This month I signed up as a gift for my wife for Valentine's Day, and whereas the crates usually ship out the first week each month, ours didn't arrive until just yesterday. Specifically because of this whole…
Boo to all the naysayers here in the comments section. BOO, I say!
Because Sega.
