The Subaru Legacy. It’s a nice car but the problem is twofold: one, it exists in a rapidly dying segment, and two, it doesn’t stand out nearly enough within that segment. Subaru had a chance with the Legacy to make it unique: to evolve it from the sporty, weird sedan that it used to be into a legitimate sports car,

I love this thing

Yeah, it really is THAT bad. It’s awful.

ugh but you have to look at it every day

If I had $60k to spend and I wanted something fun to drive, fast, and sporty, I’d get a used Porsche.

Last time I checked, people weren’t cross-shopping a Telluride with a Nissan Rogue.

There is nothing wrong with the Q50s exterior. It’s a handsome, sporty looking sedan that is devoid of any massive grilles, black plastic “diffusers” or other stupid design mistakes. Stuff like this is why car manufacturers are making their cars ugly - because people say that boring isn’t okay anymore.

You sure about that?

I don’t think a single person is loading 1900 lbs into the bed of their Ranger.  Just sayin’.

The quick answer is NO

Oh, please.

those came from the leftover Subaru parts bin

I like the Lexus grill on their cars, not their SUVs.  It just doesn’t work on an SUV.

I saw my first one ever in Joshua Tree National Park last week - I think it was a midrange model, dark blue 4-door with the soft top folded back. It looked properly “let’s explore the desert” to me.

That Subarus still suck oil and blow head gaskets.

Easy answer - the Subaru BRAT. It’s the greatest because it’s just so damn confusing, and yet somehow impossible to not admire.

I’m not sure what’s best but I know the worst one is any tenth-gen F-150 with the 5.4L Triton V8.  I’ve never driven a more asthmatic 8-cylinder motor in my entire life, and I had two friends with 2001 F-150s that leaked water through the dome light whenever it rained.  Not to mention the inevitable transmission

I can’t see this being practical for outdoorsy, backwoods off-road use in the way an Outback is. Many of the spots that I enjoy most in Colorado are many miles (hours!) away from the nearest gas station, let alone the nearest charge port. Electric range is drastically reduced when towing a camper, when the vehicle is

Everything that Mazda makes that isn’t the CX-5.

I really like the Porsche-esque styling direction that they’ve gone with for this new model.  It looks clean.
