typically guys only have friends that are girls because they want to sleep with them.

Shadow of Modor? Not a sequel. Isolation? Not a sequel. Sunset Overdrive? Not a sequel. The Evil Within? Not a sequel. Neither of the 4 are multiplayer focused at all, either, and I believe only Sunset Overdrive actually has it as an option.

Eh, I can't even bring myself to hate him. I mean, he seems like a nice enough guy, I just don't like his 'style' of LP.

If you don't even bother reading the article, then why even comment? It would have taken you about a minute longer to read it than scrolling all the way down, typing out the comment, and hitting "Publish."

Even though video games are still a relatively new media, it's interesting to observe that the medium has emerged largely out of nations with colonialist histories—ie, Britain, Japan and the United States, and that it's still primarily those cultures that dominate the authorship of its general canon.

A shame you didn't read it then. The main point wasn't to say it's racist or that devs have to do things a certain way. It merely pointed out these facts and painted the idea that there's a rich source of unused folklore and culture settings that could be used in future games rather than the stereotypical "ya mon" and

Excellent article mon! ;)

These broken lines are common in Wakka's dialog, but that's not all. One of Wakka's defining trademarks is that he ends his sentences in "ya?" His voice acting and characterization emphasize a stereotypical island trait, much like the one in which all Jamaicans say "yah mon."

I'd actually put Stick of Truth as my favorite game so far of 2014, and easily the best RPG.

Best surprise? South Park: The Stick of Truth. I thought it would be funny, but I didn't expect it to be nearly as funny (or consistent) as it was. It had Mario RPG-style gameplay that didn't get old and a wonderful pace that never felt like it was killing time.

It's the only game I've played through twice just to see the difference between the elves and humans plot. So my nod has to go here.

Mass Effect 2 delivered a couple fantastic ones. I mentioned Mordin singing "Scientist Salarian" as a beautiful and unexpected moment in a reply to someone below. My favorite, though, has to be this:

Mine is also a Mordin moment, but of a completely different nature. My favorite moment of sheer, unexpected joy in a game.

"Had to be me. Someone else might have gotten it wrong."

I WILL NEVER STOP CRYING.

Red Dead Redemption - Riding into Mexico. I've never been so immersed in a video game as at that moment first time through.
