I'd actually put Stick of Truth as my favorite game so far of 2014, and easily the best RPG.

Best surprise? South Park: The Stick of Truth. I thought it would be funny, but I didn't expect it to be nearly as funny (or consistent) as it was. It had Mario RPG-style gameplay that didn't get old and a wonderful pace that never felt like it was killing time.

It's the only game I've played through twice just to see the difference between the elves and humans plot. So my nod has to go here.

Spoilers for Dragon Age 2...

Mass Effect 2 delivered a couple fantastic ones. I mentioned Mordin singing "Scientist Salarian" as a beautiful and unexpected moment in a reply to someone below. My favorite, though, has to be this:

Mine is also a Mordin moment, but of a completely different nature. My favorite moment of sheer, unexpected joy in a game.

"Had to be me. Someone else might have gotten it wrong."

I WILL NEVER STOP CRYING.

Red Dead Redemption - Riding into Mexico. I've never been so immersed in a video game as at that moment first time through.

And I wish someone had done a DLC for Skyrim where you come upon a bunch of crashed rockets and Jason Bright and his ghoul followers from New Vegas are there.

Why didn't you send him a message and say you're sorry?!?!?!?! I don't understand why people don't do this. I do it all the time.

If you pre-order now, you can get 10 free tokens which you place in an envelope and mail to my aunt in Vermont. She's getting a bit old, and only a select few tokens will actually avoid being tossed in her trash can or a pile of old mail she'll never open.

OK, Guys. All those releases, and announcements are putting some pressure on me. That's why I will, here and now, announce my new game project:

I can't wait for the eventual "Grass Maintenance" Expansion Pack!

Definitely Dynasty Warriors as a series of games. I loved playing these but sadly enough I couldn't find anyone that shared that enthusiasm at all. With the news of Hyrule Warriors currently being developed, I'm hoping it breathes a new life into this franchise.

So it seems we're at an impasse; people legitimately like these games and want to buy/play them, but you don't like them and believe that if they keep being popular they will somehow force-out/replace existing types of games. Assuming that that were even going to be the case (which I don't think it would be) what is

WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE DEVELOPERS?!

Whenever I've said I liked FF9 over ANY OTHER FF game, I always get the attitude from people that i've just killed their puppy. Mainly because I don't worship at the feet of FF7 like I'm "supposed" to. (By the way, I pretty much hate 7, but I get why its so important to people and why people can love it as much as

I loved this game. I think if they didn't call it dragon age 2 I think it wouldn't got the hate that it did. I played as a message my first party through and felt like a bad ass!
