It's an organic, chaotic thing for me. I throw a few seeds at a character, make them look cool (to me) and see what shape they grow into.

This calls for a 'Shop Contest.
But, Lara Croft in reboot Tomb Raider seems way, way stronger than classic Lara Croft. Reboot Lara Craft is just a 19-year-old student who's forced to survive, and learns that she's actually really, really good at doing what she needs to do to survive. She looks like a real person, and she definitely behaves like one.…
Or we'd rather not stare at a man's butt for however long we're playing that game.
I have no set avatar when it comes to MMOs or games where you can create your character. Gender and race vary. I can go from playing men to women to robots to aliens to walking blast furnaces, teenagers to elderly to immortal characters, rich to poor, of varying sexualities, so on and so forth.
if i'm gonna play a game that allows me to use the female gender. Definitely will choose female every time because i'm not looking at man butt for the next ~30 hrs..... don't judge me. ._.
The space dragon destroyer of worlds would like to have a word with the io9 staff.

I actually really liked Godzilla vs Biolante- which has to be one of the creepiest and genuinely scary opponents in the series- almost Lovecraftian.
Both are much better than people think.
I think the problem of that movie is that it was called "Godzilla" when the starring creature was nothing like Godzilla. Imagine if the japanese made a Superman movie where he doesn't fly and is killed by a machine gun. Also the human protagonists (except maybe Jean Reno) sucked.
In 8 years of military service I think I can tell you maybe two of the guys I knew's first names. It's common in the military to just refer to everyone by last name, all the time, even in social situations. It's not 'formal' or awkward, it's normal.
Since he first rose out of the Pacific Ocean to destroy Tokyo in 1954, Godzilla has been an icon. But he's also…
Not at all. Giving people a choice is what made the games fun, even if everyone chose the exact same choices and names their characters the exact same thing, it would have been way less fun if we weren't given the option.
Not to mention that just because these are the most common names, doesn't mean a huge number of…
If only Saren had headed to Hu Lao Gate rather than pursuing you maybe he'd have won
Nope.
I've been fending them off ever since I made my milkshakes.
"You little whippersnappers with your highly-detailed Sims! Why, when I was your age, the Create-A-Sim menu only lets you choose a head and body from a limited set of choices. And that was just enough for us!"
