God, it’s only been three years? It feels like a lifetime.

So I guess I’m the only one feeling nostalgic after that little girl in the photo is old enough to enroll in college. And that it’s been three years since we’ve had a sane/non-senile/not-a-total-unrepentant-dick president.

From one 44 year old to another... YOU’RE WELCOME ;) .

I hope McKinnon was able to negotiate a sweet deal to stay on, as Lorne Michaels will never find anyone who can so accurately portray Elizabeth Warren. And I hope she’ll be needed until 2024!!!!!

They also did Bretbug, which tickled me to no end.

I’d like to see Bret Stephens be a woman on Twitter for two hours.

I’d like to see Bret Stephens work two hours in a telephone customer service or tech support job and then come at me about how bedbug is such a terrible thing to be called. What a fucking snowflake he is.

As a kid ANCHOR’S AWEIGH because Jerry!

My 4 YO son just started ballet... this stigma is one thing that concerned me... but it doesn’t concern him and i love the joy he gets from dancing.

Uh, Astaire was a talented choreographer, too. He collaborated with Hermes Pan in a number of films, but he absolutely had input in what he did. Astaire and Kelly were great fans of each other. They were both amazing, with different styles and forms of physicality.

And look like it’s no big deal is what blows my mind! It’s like “Oh, this person weighs no more than a feather, I shall lift them over my head...”

Speaking of lifting and dipping, who was more manly than Patrick Swayzee?

You realize, of course, that today’s men’s pants are the historical anomaly. What you’re calling “high waisted” pants have the waist at the waist, a thing that’s finally returning after a 15 year trend of placing the “waistline” at the hip (flattering almost no man over age 25), according to all the ads in September

Two words. Edward Villella

Male ballet dancers can bench entire people. How is that not badass?

I will never get over how relaxed and light on his feet he was. He makes it look effortless.

Man here, who took four years of ballet, three of jazz, and two of tap. Social stigma when I started as a young man in the ‘80s was pretty strong, but I had my own reasons for keeping up with it until I started to play high school sports. Holy shit, the lessons I learned from ballet were applicable in nearly

Gene Kelly was the best. Here he is with his first on-screen dance partner, Judy Garland, in For Me and My Gal (1941)

My son, also 6, loves to dance. He loves to do cartwheels, sommersaults, and swing. He was in an acrobatics-dance class at age 4 that he than asked to repeat at age 5 because he liked it so much.

That last email is the one you should have sent first, and it’s a shame you had to let Bret Fucking Stephens hand you your ass before you realized that.
