The Ulysses wasn’t even close to being as good as its German or Japanese competition however. I think people have rose tinted spectacles about Buell

I’m 35, and imho, 1000cc sportbikes are great for trackdays but rather boring in town. Harleys on the other hand, feel engaging at round town and highway speeds. I’d urge you to go on a test-ride to check it out (I particularly liked my test ride of the Fat Boy). I don’t think I’ll own a Harley for another decade but…
I find inline four sportbikes revving their tits off going down the high street, to be about as annoying as Harleys with open pipes
I think its a price thing. Jalops like Moto Guzzis and Triumph Scramblers and such, and can afford them because they are around $10k or less. A $20k Harley that has a weird riding position and crap brakes is a different proposition however. Also, Harley is waaaaay behind the times in not focussing properly on its past…
Buells weren’t great either though
And even Buells were relatively crap (compared to their Japanese competition anyway)
Thats the point: “Their customers” who “don’t care about winning hp races” are getting too old to ride or, with the USA’s crappy healthcare system, are dying off
Why do you want a 3 wheeled vehicle over a 2 wheeled one?
Agree with everything except the dentist thing. Most Harley owners I know are blue-collar folks done well. They four wheeled vehicle of choice is often a pickup truck (admittedly probably a >$50k Ford 150 Lariat or something).
The livewire is stupid too though - its going to be ridiculously expensive for what it is, and since motorcycles are a leisure activity in the USA, and for most people sound is an important part of the experience, the Livewire will fail.
I’m a brown dude, with super skinny jeans, clear framed glasses, and an effeminate-by-some-standards long cardigan, and I had no issues getting service at HD. In fact, they’ve been hassling me, calling me multiple times in an effort to generate a sale. I realize this is anecdata but illustrative that not all Harley…
I test rode a Harley this week at a local dealer. The guy has called me 5 times in the past week no lie. 4 times before and once after. How are they this bad at customer service?!
great bike but no way dude - its too expensive! A Triumph Street Scrambler or Thruxton, which are in no way less developed, is $$$$ less than the FTR
come on! The 2018 Fat Bob looks pretty cool no? Kindof a Mad Max vibe? Its stupidly expensive for what it is, but then I guess the same goes for many “luxury” products
I hope you eat a mostly plant-based diet, because surely you know that factory farming is one of the biggest contributors to climate change
I rode my first Harley this summer (Fat Bob) and after owning and riding numerous bikes for the past 15 years, the Fat Bob is definitely fun at around town speeds. Its definitely worth checking one out for a test ride, even if you don’t plan to own one (I’d like to own one if I had a 5 bike stable, but they’re so…
I dont recognize this man please enlighten me! (Im sure I’ll know his name after you tell me though)
and on motorbikes. Not in a race but in trackdays
Is it 1300 deaths since 79 or 13 000????
Subaru underrates the STI’s hp, but even if they didn’t it has more power than a Golf R, and considering it (on paper) gives up almost 50 hp to the Focus RS, its not a lot slower. HP isn’t everything and there is zero overlap on the Venn diagram of potential Camry drivers and STI drivers
