I get the feeling that for the last six months, Barack and Michelle’s theme has been, “You know you’re going to miss us when we’re gone, right?”

Oh, you know that, and I know that, but it still just bothers me on behalf of him. I think he’s really been a wonderful President, someone who shows leadership with thoughtful composure, not knee-jerk actions. So I just can’t stand those people who are not fit to shine his shoes disparaging him.

I’m sitting here grinning like a damn fool watching that video. And then crying thinking of Trump or Cruz, and (sorry B-bros) Bernie. It just won’t be the same.

We will never ever be as blessed with such an intelligent, cool, suave, smart, beautiful first couple ever again. They both rock my socks!

We had a few of them on the Korat RTAFB ramps in 73. They were called the EC-121, but we all called them Connies. They were spectacular to watch take off at night. Those big recips pounding the air and flames flying out of the exhaust ports. What an amazing sight. No shiny aluminum here. These were war machines.

Oh do I love a Connie. Sexy as all get out!! I saw my first one at Fantasy of Flight and have been hooked since I was a kid. That loooong spindly nose gear leading up to that oh so wonderfully curved upper fuselage. mmmmm. I think I need a moment. Thanks Tyler as always!
