After trying the Winter Olympic NBC coverage, the BBC, 7 Live Australia, and EuroSport, (all for a very short time), I’ve been religiously watching the CBC.

There was a big bright-light restaurant in Hermosillo, Sonora Mex, right near the old train station, that had something very similar to this casserole as a La Mesa ‘family dinner special’ (First time there was 52 years ago).

Yeah, the Burger King on Sukhumvit near Nana is the best. Burgers that actually do look better than their pictures. Fresh, hot. Interesting crowd too. Added bonus, that entire area on a rainy night looks like a scene out of the first Blade Runner. 24 hrs. Great Bangkok burger fix at 4am, perfect.

Fast food? Like US style? OK, the McDonald’s near the North Gate Xi’An China. Late night, their special roast beef sandwiches are absolutely insane, a mountain of thin sliced hot, tender & juicy. The best. Nothing like them in the US though. Just amazing.

A blistering hot bath ready when I get home. A soft Bibb lettuce & garden baby carrot w/ bleu cheese salad, a perfect baked Scrod filet with crumbs, toasted potatoes Au gratin, roasted macadamia Brussels sprouts, with a nearly-frozen bottle of sparkling Italian Rose waiting on the table.

Jeezuz. Don’t pray for ANYTHING. Get up off of your ass and make it happen.

If you are older, try to wear a comfortable dark blue or very black blazer in the evenings, even with jeans. Yep, I know, it sounds stupid. But just try it once.
