Quickly meaning the time from when the studio fronts money for production to the theatrical release. It's unlikely that a studio would front the money for Ant-Man 9 years in advance while a screenplay is being developed. Development either means the script isn't done or isn't solid enough to warrant millions in

It seems Ant-Man was kind of a "This seems cool. Let's get it going quickly and throw in some gratuitous MCU references, so we can make a fast, 9-figure turnaround" idea from the studios/financiers.

My favorite part is the two-episode conversations

That's about right

One Royale with cheese, please

I'm more shocked that licked donuts got served to unsuspecting patrons.

That's what I remember too

Donut make my brown eyes blue?

I'm no mathmagician but it seems that the following is a true statement:

That's what they don't know. M hm.

You're correct. I know several pro photogs whose lives are exactly like that.

She's rich enough to buy the rights to the color pink.

You make a good point. You really have to have protagonistic characters that viewers care about or the show eventually becomes unwatchable. Basic principles of story.

Oh I agree. ER is far from realistic. Dazed and Confused wasn't a whole lot different than ER and admittedly had little purpose other than nostalgia. Hence its soundtrack. It's characters (one of whom is in ER) seemed much more compelling. To me at least.

Thank you!!

Singles wasn't terrible and was totally promoted based on the tunes.

There were dozens of music references, and images of employees enjoying whatever song was blasting, and playing their choice of songs on the store's sound system. The movie ends with two guys discussing bands.

They only cared at that moment because it was interesting. Had the movie extended into two days the characters would have lost interest. Notice how they were all self-absorbed?

You actually GET the point. The writer didn't (probably).
