How likely is that if you’re making something simple though?

That’s probably true to an extent. It’s why they’re doing things like having free daily games on the app or moving some games to youtube. Clearly, like any sport, they’re going to have to find a balance between games as promotion and games as product.

Yes. That’s why I’ve come up with the ridiculous position of “Young people don’t get angry and confused by streaming services”.

You might want to give reading the article another go. Are things perfect? No. But this article refutes the idea that Baseball is being killed or even in serious trouble. There are lots of things to fix and tweaks to make but things aren’t dire and MLB.TV is doing a ton of business.

Ok. None of that makes watching games difficult. Our entire generation figured out Netflix.

Wut?

I feel like in order to really fuck things up in the kitchen you either have to be kind of adventurous in what you cook(nope) or have some sort of weird aversion to tasting your food as you cook.

It’s incredibly easy for me to watch games. I just subscribe to MLB.TV

All that means is that rich teams will be pocketing a shit ton of money instead of giving it to players. Good players shouldn’t be forced to play places they don’t want to. A higher minimum would solve the problem you’re talking about with the Pirates about investing in their team. A hard cap is just a gift to the

Ok, that’s pretty good.

Sharapova should come back with a super witty zinger like “You made your fortune establishing a forum for places like The_Donald”. That would show him.

Chilling out on the couch, drifting in and out of the game, talking about some bullshit with whoever is watching with you...that’s a huge chunk of what makes baseball great.

Nah, fuck that. Why should teams like the Yankees and Dodgers get to skimp on paying their players what they’re worth? Hard caps are an owner’s best friend and are 100% bullshit.

You lost me at “hard cap”.

I hear you. I think that’s a valid concern. That said, in Canada I don’t think any games are blacked out so for me it’s something like 16 bucks a month for every single game played in the year so...I think it’s a great deal.

Like I said, I’m not speaking from a “this will make all the kids put down their snapchats and watch baseball like grampa used to” sense. Just as a fan who thinks the game sucks to some extent and could use some tweaking to make it better. Would each tweak, by itself, make a massive difference? No. Together, though, I

I agree. Nothing is wrong with the game that will kill it but there’s a whole lot of room between “the patient is in terminal condition” and “everything’s ok”.

I’m about as big a baseball fan as a person can be and I’m still a baseball fan despite it all so I agree the game’s troubles are overrated. That said, the game is in a bad place right now. Maybe not economically to a meaningful degree, I still subscribe to MLB.TV and everything so they’re still getting my money, but

Did this sound good in your head?

So does that make Macaroni Salad the best food to barf? Or is that a whole other list?
