To further your analogy, what you’re saying is that the sandwich itself is at fault instead of your decision to leave it out. Canada has college athletics. The UK has college athletics. Japan has college athletics. The issue isn’t the existence of college athletics, it’s that everything in America gets put through the

The problem isn’t college athletics as a concept, the problem is that like a lot of things Americans think that if a little bit of something is good, then ten million times as much must be better.

I’m mainly joking but the thing is the Leafs, who do have a lot of faults, are a very very good offensive team. If you look at the teams around them near the bottom of PP opportunities they’re all really bad, inept teams. You’d think all of the Leafs offensive talent would lead to PP opportunities.

Look at the power play numbers man, it’s all there.

I have every faith in Leafs fans and our ability to prove that, somehow, this is proof that Gary Bettman has it in for us.

While we’re probably going to be very quick to pass judgement on Rielly, I think it should be remembered that he himself is so dyslexic he doesn’t even know how to spell his own last name.

Yeah, I’m sure all that is true but I guess my thinking here is you wouldn’t think he’d be susceptible to the same decline as the average pitcher.

I guess it’d be tempting to write it off as just one bad year in a great career but he’s been on a downward slide for a few years now and you have to go back to 2015 to find a year where he was a very good pitcher.

yeah.

Nah, mustard’s fine.

Fridays are for the Lawyers.

I don’t know, the weirdo non-Jew my mother invites to be progressive who then loudly talks over all of the family jokes is a staple at our seder.

Not mayo, Ketchup.

Bills fans this morning are destroying property, calling Brown racial slurs and drunkenly getting into fistfights so, you know, you can just imagine how they’ll react when they hear about this.

I have every confidence that someone else in the Democratic party will trip over their metaphorical dick in the week ahead.

I feel like one of the positive things to come out of Rep. Omar’s comments is that it’s really brought out just how many ridiculous fanatics there are on this issue.

This is another good piece about how you can both find evidence of those antisemitic tropes in what Omar said all the while being a strong advocate for Palestinian rights:

Now playing

They shady, we get shady, dress up like ladies and burn ‘em with dirty .380's.

Well, what ended up finally getting Williamson suspended was saying the party had been too apologetic over the antisemitism issue but even then I wasn’t trying to make a direct comparison between what the two did(I think the Labour party suspending Williamson is good, I would not be in favour over the Democrats doing

I mean, there’s more than one problem with the Labour party but I disagree that an apology, regardless of its sincerity would have been enough to actually address the problem. Action was needed and they’ve consistently failed to take it.
