You’re right, the second amendment does state that “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” It also states that a well regulated militia is necessary to the security of a free state. Yet militias are shut down, especially when they begin infringing on OTHER right.

Here’s the difference. Cars have a purpose other than killing. Most materials for making a bomb have a purpose other than killing. Guns ONLY purpose is to kill things. And things like semi-automatic rifles only purpose is to kill more things more quickly.

Here’s a fun thought experiment. If the people perpetrating these mass shootings didn’t have access to guns, how many people would they have shot?
